That doesn't excuse porn. Nor does it justify sulking, pressure, or coercion. And “reasonable” matters: there is no obligation to grant requests that are harmful, reckless, drunken, adulterous in context, or sinful in manner. A request may be refused when it is unreasonable or seriously harmful.
But within a healthy Christian marriage, a generous sex life is not trivial. It is one of God’s appointed helps for fidelity, tenderness, and peace in the home. So wives should recognise it as one of the most powerful ways they can build a beter marriage. And husbands should receive it with gratitude and reverence.
