Without any spoilers, I can show you the tutorial of the first level of @RubeWorks #VR beta. It's amazing how you can drag and drop items by using just your hands via hand tracking. The game itself gives me the feeling of playing a #game in front of a magical showcase.

The team at @BlockadeLabs just released their skybox-to-3D features and the outcome is amazing for quick #design and prototyping of #XR experience in @ShapesXR . By now there are so many presets to choose from and using the "interior" style with the bit of extra magic added by the "Enhanced prompt" leads to very usable backdrops for initial visualization and prototyping. After that, you can import #3D models from @Sketchfab , get your own #UI from @figma and add interactions in @ShapesXR to start ideating and designing spatially from the very beginning!

I've never been a fan of collectibles in games that are there just to be found. But I'm so much more interested if they become proper 'collectibles' that I can see and touch. @PolyarcGames shared an exploration of this kind of thing with me for @GlassbreakersVR as a sort of MR collection room or maybe even an immersive equipment menu. Oculus Home back on Rift had such a great start on this—every game achievement manifested as a plaque you could place in your room. Every VR game you owned could be spawned as a physical game cartridge with the game art on it; you could even put the cartridge into a console to launch the game. And in-game actions could unlock completely unique 3D objects as rewards to be used in your Home. Like building a game room full of virtual collectibles from all of your games. It would really be something to see such a system fleshed out and widely utilized... unfortunately Meta shut down Oculus Home on Rift... and the similar Oculus Rooms on Gear VR. It looks like some of those concepts could be coming back with their new 'augments' system, but history says they have a hard time building 'home' features with a clear use-case and actually honing them until they're great. Maybe this time will be different...?

Stepping into the @GoldsmithsUoL VR lab in London was surreal — I was greeted by the lifelike avatar of @XaosPrincess. At first glance, I thought it was just a picture, but then she moved 🙀 I was so happy; went into a VR headset to say "Hi—" 😊👋 The SURPRISE & virtual hug felt as real as any in-person meeting. #VRSocialPresence Combining #ChatGPT with VR was really awesome.
