@timothyachumba I think the smart part about this workflow is also to produce an artifact that you can reuse with SVGs instead of having a PNG that you can't edit easily anymore.

This is some of the most inspiring workflows I’ve seen. What I love the most about this workflow is the use of AI to augment and not replace. Sure, Dan could have had AI make these illustrations for him but where’s the fun in that?

Depends if this same pattern will be used for other chart types, with other options for how to display data, and whether it works for those too. I often find patterns like this feel good but are limited in how they can be used.

@Ekaeoq At a certain point the pen almost becomes invisible, it becomes part of you body ( I think the mind starts considering part of the body ) , even the mechanical movement of the pen on paper becomes subconscious so in a way your ideas start appearing magically 😁

By far the most important part about sketching is being able to bring your idea to life, something like your thoughts being manifested in real life, and it's so important you do it as soon as you can. Ideas are fleeting, so many times I thought about something I could not remember for the life of me the next day, so many times I wanted to ............ because I forgot the GREAT IDEA I HAD at the time. Physical sketching is the embodiment of that, you can't make it more permanent than that, I don't like digital, digital I don't care care about, not nearly as much as I do with physical media, and things you draw actually stay with you, unlike the 58789th iteration you keep somewhere, god knows where. ALL that to say, just draw it, just make it shit and make it exist, prime example, the first drawing shown here was drawn 2 days ago while I was taking a shit with my thumb... The 2nd drawing is the very first idea for my watch design, after being inspired by an apple watch, that's all there is to it. DRAW YOU IDEAS, DON'T FORGET YOUR IDEAS, MAKE EM EXIST!!!

@alex_barashkov Web products have been getting more and more sophisticated, I think we are just scratching the surface of what is possible to design and build, plus let alone the motion design dimension that has been getting integrated to web products ... we are just entering a new golden age .

Design agencies are going to feel more pressure this year and next. My recommendation: move positioning toward either premium branding or productized AI services. Product design will continue moving in-house. That trend was already happening, and AI will likely accelerate it. At the same time, mediocre design and weak branding will become harder to separate from AI-generated work. This means demand for generic design services will get weaker, especially for agencies built around cheap, low-quality execution. Marketing and distribution will matter more than before. Agencies without strong word of mouth, owned sales channels, or a clear reputation will have a harder time staying visible. We’ve seen this before. Many agencies relied too heavily on Dribbble. Then the platform stopped being useful as a serious lead source. Now, a similar shift may happen across social platforms as algorithms become flooded with AI content. Design alone won’t be enough. Positioning, trust, and distribution will decide who keeps demand.
