@OnlyGoken I think it’s more that in hindsight there was a lot of potential that could have been done (like better availability of gen2 mons) but the decisions make sense when you consider that they assumed it was going to be maybe the last game in the series and it’s a victory tour

Johto still holds up well, a lot of y'all are just mean and hate Johto for being so liked. Johto has a somber atmosphere to it that I genuinely think no regions really ever recapture. The level curve is bad but it isnt that bad

Ngl them not doing any Gen 5 remakes gives peace to my mind.
I want remakes, but realistically they will mostly disappoint than be peak so. Gen 5 as is is enough, we need to learn how to live with what we already have on this blue floating rock

Maybe the craziest thing about the leaked doc showing all of Game Freak’s planned games for the next 5+ years is that: there are no Gen5 (or even Gen2) remakes/revisits planned in Gen10 …Unless there is a remake that is completely outsourced/made by a 3rd party dev🤷🏼♂️ According to the remake release patterns, most Pokémon fans believed Gen5 remakes would be in Gen10. (Gen4 remakes were in Gen8, etc). But right now it looks like the schedule is pretty full and Gen5 remakes won’t happen until we’re in Gen11… if at all. (Don’t get me started on Johto it will have been almost 20 years since we’ve gone back there- AND EVEN more if Seed doesn’t happen). This is the only reason that makes me think that a Legends Galar could have changed into a Legends Unova or Johto… I don’t think this is the case but it would make a lot of sense- especially if Legends games are the new way of doing Pokémon “remake” games. Lastly, the sales of Pokemon remakes are still speaking for themselves. True Pokémon remakes have actually made more than Legends games so far, and we saw how well even just ports of FRLG are doing… So why wait until after 2030 to make more Pokemon remakes?! They might be missing the boat.

@ethan1923 @Prince_Spoopy To some extent it’s overhyped but there is something there. Gen 4 added a lot of evolutions to older mons making them feel complete. Gen 5 went in a new direction deliberately and the art style has definitely changed over the years (btw I don’t think everything new is bad )

All due respect you gotta come to terms with the fact that you’ve outgrown Pokemon and that’s okay. If modern Pokemon designs are constantly not your cup of tea then maybe it’s not the Pokemon design, but your perspective that has changed. So many people don’t wanna admit that
