I always thought since my foundational strength was copywriting, I would always try to hire other skills around my offer so I could focus on that. Reality for me is that I got pulled in so many other directions to answer questions *only I can answer* This actually creates a massive hole for an offer structured around having great marketing. If you're supposed to be writing the copy, while also managing 50 other vital operational things to keep the offer afloat, then your marketing suffers. I've read before that best situation is to try to hire someone who can do 80% as good of a job as you. Seems counterintuitive if marketing for example is "your moat." But I can definitely see now why people say this. "Buy Back Your Time" by Dan Martell great book for going deeper into this line of thinking btw.

If you run an agency, these are the qualities that I have found best separate the wheat from the chaff ^

I used to hate working with agencies for ad creatives. Felt like huge waste of time to start from zero each time having to educate on my audience and offer. Only to have them waste massive amount of time putting in lackluster effort and terrible creatives that damage brand. That was until I finally started working with a good one: >Does a massive amount of research upfront >Has full team of copywriters, actors, editors >Makes super high quality creatives *I couldn't just make myself* >Deal structure virtually perfectly aligns incentives Theoretically, in-house marketing could be so good it's the offer's literal biggest moat. But if in practice output quality isn't coming through, then I'm beginning to think outsourcing via agency is the way to go. (at least until I can find good enough talent to do it myself)

Advertorials are absolutely 𝗖𝗥𝗨𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 in the space.... In 2025, you can’t afford to ignore them. We've often seen 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 landing pages by huge differences... So, I made a swipe file compiling 30+ Advertorials you can (copy + paste) on your store. Best part? It's 100% editable figma file. To get it, like + comment "Me", and I'll send it to you. (follow so I can dm)

3 predictions re: the future of high-performance startups / DR companies (As usual, the rest of the business world seems oblivious to what's going on.) We're building the highest-performance team in the world rn, doing things differently: 1) Zero "management," a few geniuses One expert owns each domain (ie. 1 person runs paid acq, 1 person owns organic, 1 person owns funnels) Each one = a cracked, entrepreneur type: - Our head of media buying had his own ecom biz - Our head of creative ran his own digital product biz - Our head of organic had 1M+ subs on youtube And so forth... With this approach: No need for *any* middle management. Saves a fk ton of time. Speed. Everyone operates like an entrepreneur within the business. (ie. "Your one goal = get front-end CPA down to $$$. Work whenever/however you want.") Full autonomy. They decide the strategy & they hire/lead their own teams. Report directly to CEO (me) on results & we brainstorm as a team when there are fires to put out. 2) Pay insanely well, tied to performance Fewer people, paid way more. Unlimited upside tied directly to merit. Especially with marketing, it's easy to quantify how much value someone drives. We intentionally pay more than other companies. It's a win-win. (imo, people tend to rise, or fall, to the level of their comp. seems crazy short-sighted how many companies try to "save money" here.) Businesses are quietly scaling to $10M, $20M, $50M ARR with only a handful of people on the core team. It gets even more efficient as you scale. 3) Hyper augment the team w/ AI & internal tech Our devs focus 99% on internal tools, apps, automation, etc. that give our team an unfair advantage (ie. custom analytics, dynamic quiz funnel logic, deleting any manual human tasks w/ code etc.) Plus, we have functionally an unlimited budget for AI tools to speed up output. Everything viewed as business investment (VEO3 credits, heygen, chat pro, etc.) In 2025, in many cases, one person can be augmented to do the "work" of 100 in years past. Insane to do things the old way. *** Essentially, end result = an insanely ambitious, lean team who have the "freedom" of entrepreneurship, but achieve the results of a network of domain experts collaborating. *** Which brings us to today... Two of our core team members came from twitter in the past, so I'm giving it a shot again. We're looking to bring on the world's foremost expert in quiz funnels (*specifically for the telemedicine market*). We'll do $20M+ rev this year. Aiming for $100M+ next year. (Note: Beautiful Stripe hockey stick MRR screenshot added for proof.) We never took VC funding, unlike others in the space. We self-funded (cofounders & friends) and are now profitable. We're focused on winning over the long-term. Doing hard things, that most aren't willing to, to build real moats. Looking for someone to lead the ongoing strategy/optimization/split-testing of our quiz funnels. (And, build new ones from scratch. Including writing the copy & UI/UX ideas, as we launch new offers rapidly this year). It's one of the most critical areas of the entire business... So, just fyi, we have an *insanely* high bar for this role. In the past, this is what I handled myself, but I don't have enough time to dedicate anymore. You'll work directly with me & the two other leaders of our paid acquisition machine (media buying + creative) to build the highest-performance marketing machine in the world. If you're interested, please DM me. Direct, relevant experience & prior results is #1 most important thing we're looking for -- so please send examples / any actual proof of work and success. We don't care about former titles, resumes, what college you went to (or didn't go to), etc. Just merit. Ideally, we're looking for someone who has done this exact role for another digital health business in the past. Meaning, one that relies on highly-optimized cold traffic quiz funnels (ie. Noom, Hims, Ro...etc.) *** If this isn't you, but you happen to know someone that'd be a good fit. Please do me (and them) a favor and share this. This is easily one of the most exciting roles we've ever had open up, and we're at an insane time in the business... an inflection point. Up only. 🚀

@herrjacks i would think lower refunds relative to other impulse-buy CPGs (at least in weight loss space) in large part because they don't make gigantic promises

Dang I love offers like this so much. So fun and gamified. "I'm down 10 links!" Every piece of this ad is so simple and digestible. Bet it crushes

Also just noticing the obviously intentional typo in the hook of the video: "when you're realize hooping for 30 minutes = 2 mile run" Can't believe I didnt catch that. Nice touch

So much also goes for rephrasing weight loss as its own game here. Most fat people would shudder at running 2 miles. But doing this seems easy and lets believe that they can do something (run 2 miles) they otherwise wouldn't think is possible This is more than "weight loss"

They're basically re-inventing a benefit (weight loss) in their own words ("links") This ad has zero wasted words, and everything is using brand-specific terms. Compare "lose 10lbs guaranteed" vs "remove a link in 30 days or your money back!" The first one is tired and probably banned by the ad platform The second is fresh and exciting. This makes the whole offer tangible while avoiding problems with big promises Really smart.

*** Opportunity to Get Paid to Learn How to Break Free and Run Your Own Legit Online Business *** I spent 3 weeks at a white collar office job before realizing I would rather be homeless than do that the rest of my life. Getting started as a copywriter I never really cared about "the art of writing copy". What I cared about was breaking free of the matrix and being my own boss. Copywriting was simply a means to that end. So I tried to find a DR company that would take a chance on me. Someone that basically didn't care about losing money on me being an idiot 22-year-old. After 6 months of searching, I found it: 2 brilliant guys in Los Angeles building a supplement brand. Within a week, I moved from Boston to LA to be with them. I got the dumpiest apartment – they paid me so little that I still had to work a second job freelancing just to support myself working for them. But man, I was so grateful. I never felt happier. Because I knew as long as I stuck with them and worked my ass off, I would emerge free. And now here I am years later. Free. Building a business with my best friend doing $500K MRR. It's surreal, because in just a few years, I'm now in the same position as those 2 LA guys. I know exactly what they must have felt seeing me: a hungry, moldable kid with nothing to offer but baseless self-confidence and 100% dedication to getting better. So here we are. I'm looking for someone just like me to join my team. I need someone super hungry. I don't care about your skill. I care about your desire to grow and break free. If I had done my LA job remotely, my growth wouldn't have grown a tenth as much as it did. So here's the thing, you need to be willing to work with me 1-on-1. That means you'd need to move to Puerto Rico. The lifestyle here is great. Plus I travel a ton (in Spain now), and you can come travel along. But you need to be American or at least able to work in America. And while learning some copy is inevitable, what I want your help with and will train you on is operations. I'm going to show you how to run an entire company on your shoulders. Running it is very complex. It's extraordinarily challenging. But after this, you will be able to run literally any company you want. For the right person this is the growth opportunity of a lifetime. Send me a DM if interested.
