Spence & Livramento over Trent is the first bad selection error of Tuchel’s reign. Trent is back in decent form with Real Madrid and he actually complements a midfield trio of Anderson-Rice-Jude very nicely. He should be starting with Reece’s injury, never mind in the squad.

This means one thing first, Your club form alone doesn’t guarantee you will make the World Cup squad, that’s why he called this large squad, so you can prove what you have and how you can help the team. But, dropping Trent? When you have an England team where every central midfielder relies on physicality before creativity is absurd. Needs creativity from the width or someone that can drop center to form a 3 man midfield as he always play during his later Liverpool days.
