The longer you stay in a church, the more you are concerned about the GOSSIPS than the POWER. You know everyone’s history and you forgot why you even joined in the first place. Your carnality grows especially when you are not involved in evangelism, you are not growing within the ranks, you don’t have more responsibilities on your hands that forces you to pray, depend on God or shape your character. You soon forget the business that brought you to church which is to grow in Christ and you start making people’s business your business. Oh see Brother Tunde’s wedding went. Oh see their naming ceremony. Oh see how Pastor addressed that. Oh see how sister so and so dressed. You can be in a church for a decade and all you know are peoples’ businesses not God’s.

They commissioned Bus terminals 10 months ago with zero Buses, till date no single activity has happened in the terminal. Now the building is gone. No country moves forward like this.

An employee just asked for a second monitor. Standard request. Usually takes 3 clicks to approve. But they submitted the ticket under Software Procurement instead of Hardware Request. If I process it, my internal audit metric takes a hit for cross-category resolution. So I rejected it and told them to submit it correctly. They submitted it under Network Outage. I rejected it again. They emailed me directly, CCing their director, asking why I am blocking their productivity. I replied all with a link to our KB article on How to Select the Correct Dropdown Menu. The director replied to me privately to just give them the monitor. I said I would, pending a properly categorized ticket. Eventually, the ticket arrived in the right queue. I approved it in four seconds. Time to resolution: four seconds. Process is a beautiful thing.
