@Mpumiln It's also important in the absence of lockers for the parents to encourage the children to look at the day's schedule and only pack the books they need for the day. I'm 33 and have had crazy shoulder and back problems since mid high school because of carrying all my bags everyday

@luphumlongcayis Absolutely. Especially looking down mid sentence to go and read, it comes across as if you just got a text and are disengaging to read the message you just got. I may keep a phone on the podium in additoon for urgent comms with organisers, never picked up or held in view.

You stand a better chance at looking dignified when reading your speech from a tablet, cue cards or the good old A4 paper. Watching a grownup reading from a mobile phone is way too casual, way too juvenile and way too tacky. Leave that tawdriness to teens.

The education they had then and the education we have now about HIV are different. Viewing this with a 2026 eye is wrong. Janet Jackson didn't have Soul Buddyz and Soul City.

Got retrenched last year. Joined Takealot to do deliveries with my car. But it was a lot on petrol. So I decided to switch to an automatic bike. I went from spending R400 to R150 per day on petrol. Plus I make more orders than I did with a car.

Sobriety really forces you to rewire your brain.
All week I’ve wanted a glass of champagnebecause that’s how I’ve always celebrated. But now I have to learn new ways of doing things.
So yesterday, I celebrated with ice cream and cheesecake instead.

I’ve tried but nah just feel like most people are pushing the “neat, clean” agenda, I’ll try again when I’m 32
Also a vest is hard alone not with a T-shirt on
