Yesterday at 5am we stood on top of the first of 12 Munros that day. What a treat to have such an incredible sunrise. We would finish our round 16 hours later, having walked36 miles and ascended 16,500 feet. Days don’t come much better, or bigger.

The Scotch Burnet moth is only known from a few sites in the Eastern Cairngorms including one hill @MarLodgeNTS where these photos were taken last week. Please let us know if you ever spot this species while walking on the estate.

The National Park's car parks and some toilets will open up from tomorrow morning as @scotgov's 5-mile travel limit is relaxed. However it won't be 'business as usual' and we're asking visitors to #RespectYourPark and be patient. Please check our website for info and advice:
