@Aaron_GDAC I think it’s harmful to say that an entire country practices recklessly when that is just not the case. Hold people accountable when they don’t follow the standard of care, and support/highlight the ones who do.

@RussToomey @Aaron_GDAC @DrLauraEL @DrLauraEL: if/when transphobic legislative efforts use your writings to justify their harmful bans, then let them. It exposes a need to take certain comments out of context. Anyone who has read your writings in entirety, knows that you are strongly against those awful efforts.

The politicization of these issues is another tragedy that is demonstrative of this polarized world we live in. As a physician in the very thick of it, I can tell you that both doing and defending the work simultaneously is very draining.

It is the year 2022 and yet politicians continue to believe that legislating against ethical, mainstream-supported gender affirming care for young people is okay. This is an egregious affront to family decision-making rights & would have needless & devastating consequences.
