Disagree. With one game a week (we were told that was a massive advantage by Amorim) there’s no reason we can’t be competing. We finished 3rd in 2023, Won the FA Cup in 2024 & got to the Europa final last year (beating Sociedad, Lyon & Bilbao), this isn’t a bad squad. Is Forest’s squad last season better than ours? Is Crystal Palace’s squad better than ours? Sunderland’s? Bournemouth’s? The only squad’s I personally feel are massively better than ours is, Arsenal, Liverpool & City. We have some bad players & people who need moved on / room to sign players, but there’s absolutely no excuse not to be competing for Europe with this squad. Having it in 15th is a disgrace & it’s 100% a coaching problem.

United have issues (finances, culture etc.) but these have been massively inflated by the fact we’ve been the victim of some absolutely horrendous coaching since August 2023. Our squad has improved since Ten Hag’s 1st season — Mbeumo, Sesko, Cunha, Yoro, Mainoo, Amad, De Ligt, Mazraoui are all top players. Any good coach gets this squad competing for European places, at the very least. I’m tired of seeing people pretend otherwise because they can’t swallow their pride & admit they were wrong about Amorim — the decision makers at the club are doing the same.
