Imagine getting health care right away. That's what it's like in Japan's universal system. Our new documentary examines their system and lessons for Canada.

We held a news conference with Debbie's daughter, Colleen, in Winnipeg today. Will it be enough for the government to finally take accountability and make serious changes? Time will tell... but far more than enough time has already passed. We need Debbie's Law.

One year ago, the Manitoba government made a big show about bringing more transparency into their health system with Debbie's Law. But even a year later... they've pretty much shrugged their shoulders at this woman's death. 🧵

While the government adds more vice presidents and bureaucrats to the payroll, Canadian patients are paying the price in crippling pain. Stories like Jenny McKenzie’s and Leah Costello’s aren’t just statistics, they are the human cost of a system that prioritizes bureaucracy over timely care. Canadians value fairness, but a system that forces you to leave the country for a timely MRI isn't fair, it’s broken. It’s time for meaningful health care reform that puts patients first. @ButlersRanger Seems to be those in the “educracy” rather than rank and file teachers, but yes the commitment to failure is disturbing.

@SecondStreetOrg There is no other academic discipline more dedicated to promoting methods proven to be less effective than teachers/pedagogues. Absolutely corrupted through and through

Why are 55% of Canadians unhappy with our schools? The data is clear: 82% are worried about discipline & accountability. 74% are concerned about classroom priorities. 60% are frustrated with "new" ways of teaching math and reading. We don’t need more bureaucracy; we need a return to excellence. See the policy brief: secondstreet.org/2024/05/21/pol…

Some Canadian university should start a classical education institute and fill it with scholars who are actually interested in finding the best ways to teach kids. Everyone knows "discovery math" is a sham but we're stuck with it because a handful of weak experts insist upon it.
