I genuinely think most people's criticism of Rachel in this movie stems from the fact that they find Maggie Gyllenhaal unattractive. It's really sad. She was great in this movie. Personally, I thought she did a better job than Katie Holmes, but people will call this a downgrade because they found Katie more attractive.

"Avengers: Endgame" and "Spider-man: No Way Home" were extremely flawed movies that disappointed on so many different levels. However (people will probably agree with this), they had great endings and character arcs that made them satisfying instead of just straight up bad.

It's hilarious how liberals always talk about how empathetic they are and how they think that killing people is wrong. They want to "abolish the death penalty" and all that and frequently condemn ICE and Israel for killing people. It's even funnier when movie/TV show writers like James Gunn and Eric Kripke center their scripts around villains who have extremely right-leaning, conservative views and kill people. Meanwhile, the heroes are left-leaning and show "empathy"; they don't want to kill anyone. They're the bigger people. The movie "Superman (2025)" and the show "The Boys" are perfect examples of this, with people saying the former is all about "hopecore" and how we need Corenswet's Superman because he represents liberals and their humanist values. Despite all that, whenever a celebrity dies, all I see on Twitter are liberals celebrating that person's death simply because they had an opinion or did a single thing they disagreed with. Corenswet's Superman would despise these people. Yes, I know that conservatives do the same thing (the transgender bridge incident comes to mind), but, at the very least, conservatives are honest about their true intentions (America and family first and all that). Liberals act as if they're morally superior and then piss on someone's grave when their body isn't even cold yet. It's especially infuriating because, when liberals see conservatives doing the exact same thing (e.g. when they celebrated the transgender person committing suicide on the bridge or Joe Biden getting prostate cancer), they use it as "evidence" that conservatives are heartless monsters who represent the true evil of this world. Their hypocrisy levels are off the charts. P.S: I'm not a fence-sitting centrist. I see the good and bad on both sides. While my ideologies are mostly liberal, I think many liberals online are awful. I don't dislike conservatives any less, by the way.

Daenerys Targaryen stans are the most insufferable people on the planet, and it's demoralizing that there are so many of them on this platform. I don't know why they hate Jon Snow so much when he simped for her almost the whole time he knew her (in the show). Is it just because he killed her after she committed genocide and said that others don't get to choose what is right or wrong (effectively making her a dictator)? So, they hate him for doing the right thing simply because it affected their favorite character? I honestly don't understand these people. I would understand if they wanted to ignore Daenery's actions in S8E5 and S8E6 because it was out of character and came out of nowhere, but why do they then clown anyone who stood in her way in the final season? If they want to act like Season 8 is fanfiction, why do they hate characters like Tyrion, Jon, Bran, Arya, and Sansa for doing what they did in Season 8? Weren't those characters also mishandled by the writers in the final season? Either everything in Season 8 is canon, or none of it is. You can't have your cake and eat it, too.

I'm right. His fights aren't rigged. If you honestly believed that a 58-year-old Mike Tyson who only had 1 exhibition fight in 19 years was going to beat a 27-year-old Jake Paul who had been training with top-tier coaches for 5 years straight, then I don't know what to tell you. Tyson wasn't "holding back". You watched 5-second, out-of-context clips on TikTok and YouTube and thought they meant the fight was rigged because of them. Tell me: who in their right mind would rig a fight where they would lose to a Love Island contestant or have their jaw broken in 2 places by a 6'6" heavyweight giant, requiring them to get 2 jaw surgeries, be sidelined from training for several months, and potentially never have their chin recover again? But, wait. Let me guess your response, "They were paid to hold back, but they refused to do so and went off-script." How convenient. The only 2 fights Jake Paul lost were the ones where his opponents went "off-script". Makes sense. Mike Tyson, apparently, has less integrity than Tommy Fury and would sell out because he needs the money more than Tommy Fury does (even though Tyson was way richer prior to the Jake Paul fight than Tommy Fury ever has been in his whole life). Use common sense, people.

Seeing a resurgence of Chuck Norris jokes reminds me of my first days on the Internet. Like, those are among the first things I ever remember reading when I came on here.

It feels like most major DC events for the past 40 years have just been writers trying to rewrite and reboot things into one continuity, then expanding it into a limited number of continuities, then realizing they didn't want anything erased from history, so they wrote multiple new crossover events to restore the pre-crisis multiverse so that everything is canon because they realized it was better, less complicated, and didn't erase iconic storylines from history. It's basically been a 40-year-long process of realizing, "we messed up by trying to make everything simple and erasing the past, so we're going back to how it was", involving multiple major events (Crisis on Infinite Earths, Infinite Crisis, Flashpoint, Convergence, Rebirth, Dark Knights: Metal, Infinite Frontier, and Dark Crisis) until, eventually, everything was restored and became canon again. However, it resulted in the histories of the "main" versions of the characters being contradictory and not making sense because, apparently, "all of it was real". To call this a mess would be an understatement. This is why comic book stories and their adaptations should stop focusing on continuity and multiversal problems and just focus on making good, individual stories instead. The movie "Logan (2017)" doesn't make sense when you think about its place in the continuity of the X-men franchise, but no one cares because it's an incredible movie that stands on its own. That's all that matters.

I don't know, man. That new Spider-man trailer looked alright, but it didn't look that great. I wasn't blown away, like I was with the new Dune trailer. The visuals are pretty sub-par; it seems like they relied too heavily on green screen and CGI. Don't get me wrong: I'm sure the movie will look better and have better action scenes than the Watts trilogy, but I'm not even sure the writing will be that much better given Chris Mckenna Erik Sommers's return. I saw major red flags when they announced that the movie would start filming only 12 months before release. It seems like my fears are being realized. Oh, well. You can't really change Marvel at this point. They're too far gone.

Someone releases art on the Internet, and people criticize it. That's the Internet. If you can't handle your precious YouTuber getting an amount of hate equal to a fraction of the amount of love he's received over the past 15 years, then, respectfully, get off the Internet. These are just opinions. People are allowed to have them. If people were spreading misinformation or were being extremely biased and unfair, I'd understand your frustration. But, you're just complaining that people are making fun of something made by someone you're extremely sensitive about. That's so childish.
