Huge shout out to everyone who helped us in the studio yesterday. Thanks to @therecordcoTRC crew, Rossana Ferro (backing vocals), Jennifer Cosgrove (voice-over), Dave “Dizza” Allen (rap on Punchdrunk), and Jamie Rowe for working magic behind the board.

This woman is trying to order Chinese food from her local restaurant. She claims she has celiac disease and insists on gluten free items only.
She even requests that the food be prepared separately from where the normal food is prepared, and that all surfaces including the woks be scrubbed with soap and water before they cook her food separately.
The restaurant replies that they can make her a gluten free meal but they don’t have the time to thoroughly scrub down everything just to make one meal. You can tell she’s irritated they said no, but is her expectations to accommodate her condition realistic?

Descendants should sue. Surviving family should sue. The State commits murder in turn when the innocent are executed. Not to mention the guilty going free. The “Justice” system never applies to itself when it comes to accountability.

@OnlyInBOS Do these people realize how weak electric leaf blowers are? It will take a work crew twice as many people or twice the time to do the work. I hope people in #Cambridge are ready for their landscaping bills to double, that is, if they can find a crew willing to work in Cambridge.

A girl pulls into an open parking spot and parks her car. Just as she finishes, a woman quickly walks up to her window and tells her she needs to move. The woman says that spot was “saved” because she parked beside her boyfriend car and that parking was hers. The driver looks confused because the spot was empty and there were no cones or signs reserving it.
Parking lots seem to bring out some strange behavior. Unless a space is reserved or marked, no one really “owns” a spot in a public lot. Sometimes it’s easier to move and avoid drama, but situations like this also raise the question of how far people should go when someone tries to claim something that isn’t really theirs.
If you were the driver who just parked there, would you move to avoid the drama or stay since the parking spot was clearly open?

@AngelMD1103 I was a manager in the largest nightclub in Boston. We walked thieving bartenders and cashiers out the door on an almost weekly basis. As a bar patron, I see theft almost everywhere I go.

It’s 2;30 a.m. The music is winding down, chairs are going up on tables, and the bartender pulls up the screen showing five open tabs. The customers had left without closing out, so she shrugs, turns the tablet toward the camera, and says, “If you walk out, I’m adding 20%,” before entering the tips herself. Now, the video is circulating online, and people are split. Some say she earned it for dealing with a packed bar all night. Others say adding her own tip without consent is crossing the line. I get the frustration, serving all night and then chasing down unpaid tabs is exhausting. But transparency matters. Clear signage or an automatic gratuity policy posted in advance would protect both the staff and the customers. What do you think? If customers leave without closing their tabs, is it fair game for the bartender to add a standard 20% tip, or should there be a different policy in place?

@vurnt22 Interesting. Summers has said since he disliked the song, considered it vapid pop that was (his words) "beneath us." (FWIW, I agree with him.) They had a lot of trouble getting a guitar take; he said he finally played it as robotically as he could, and that was the single.

The SAVE Act isn’t about election integrity. It’s about making it harder for eligible Americans to vote. Citizenship is already required, and noncitizen voting is extremely rare.
