Based on this work by Joy News, beyond the reported drop in power generation from the Akosombo fire, there are also significant shortfalls in thermal generation with a number of key plants underperforming. This is why we keep calling on the grid operator to make grid reports publicly available. It should be easy to check how much power is being generated for public education. I recall that during the 2024 outages, the ECG boss and the government kept blaming transformers. In the end it turned out to be generation issues. Any comments @MrRockson?
