Players get criticised early all the time, that’s about expectations, not injuries. Mount gets stick because of performances & availability over time, not just being injured.

Mainoo hate is actually getting weird, I really don’t understand the reason? Just went on TikTok and saw 2 video from 2 football creators. First one was saying how bad Mainoo’s passing was yesterday (he had 93% pass accuracy) and the other said they’d now take Wharton (didn’t even start either game), Garner and Henderson to the World Cup over him. Rogers, Palmer, Foden, Gordon and White were all far worse than Mainoo and didn’t get a mention in either video, both by neutral fans, nor have I seen them criticized on here anywhere near as much. Really don’t get it.
