Today I joined Litchfield First Selectperson Denise Raap and Warren First Selectman Greg LaCava to testify in support of H.B. 5323, which calls for an audit of the financial operations of the former Region 6 School District and the Town of Litchfield.

Great news! Two local farms have been awarded Farm Transition Grants from the CT Dept. of Agriculture. Horticulture Therapy Farm in Litchfield received $1,720 to expand production, and CowPots in East Canaan was awarded $23,255 to develop innovative, organic-compliant products.

Great visit with the AP Government class at Lakeview High School! We discussed the legislative process, how state government works, and what it takes to get things done for CT. These students asked great questions and had big ideas for our state’s future.

Today, I stood with my CT Senate & House Republican colleagues to outline a plan to restore integrity and accountability in state government. Taxpayer dollars shouldn’t go to politically connected insiders while people struggle with rising costs. The “candy store” era must end.
