I have literally never been to a pride parade that didn't have shitloads of straight people showing up. People bring straight friends and family, community members come to watch/support, it's a big party. And yet every year people take it upon themselves to scold bi women.

don't wanna get mad during pride month so i'll stop now 🫩 but it gets very fcking tiring to have your identity disrespected, the violence and discrimination you suffer dismissed, and being called the oppressor to top it all off (ESPECIALLY by fellow queers as well as cishets)

i just think that acknowledging that biphobia exists and recognising that being in a straight passing relationship gives you privilege could and should coexist

I try to ignore xenogender stuff, but it's hard when people are clearly misusing transgender terminology and treating it as on par with gender dysphoria, which is a real, diagnosable condition. The 'I'm autistic so I experience gender as a concept/object/etc' angle is especially irritating given that's just not how autism works, coming from someone who has ASD and innumerable friends with it too. People need to realize personality/interests and gender are not the same. It actively harms the queer community.
