Everyone needs mouth care. You can still brush the gums, tongue & palate. Saliva can carry bacteria from the mouth to the lungs & cause pneumonia. Keep those mouths clean!! 🦷 👄 🪥

This is so important. We were trained that thickened fluids were the only option. They’re not, and in fact, the evidence is inconclusive about their impact. It’s time for us as a profession to stand up for evidence based interventions. Patients deserve better
