I’m so tired of these 2 talking points when it comes to Iris. Like why is it always mad? Why can’t she be hurt because of his actions and not his choice? Why is the writing only bad for her and not everyone else? Why is the writing for Iris only mentioned? I know the answer why.

Sidenote: Is it a crime to care about someone and just be their friend? The only reason I ask is because it seems like someone (this isn’t about the commenter but the picture) will always ship two people just having a moment. 🤔

This cracks me up because JOM was an amazing actor, Joe West was a shit character and you’ll would actually know this if you paid attention to what he did to Iris and Barry.

Exactly! The fact that we saw the different levels of how Barry reacted to Joe as a child will always be mind boggling to me because even as an adult he didn’t know how to define Joe because different situations determined his relationship to Joe.

And he was only able to view it that way after joe said he would get his father out of prison . He wasn’t just thinking dad the whole time and that’s the reason he call him joe for the whole series . If he truly felt comfortable saying dad then it would just naturally be used .
