My personal notes from the Orange and White game Stock up: TE Cole Harrison TE Trent Thomas EDGE Jordan Norman WR Ian Duarte OT Gabriel Osenda Faizon’s legs S Joel Wyatt DT Isaiah Campbell RB Javin Gordon Some defensive notes: I liked a lot of the looks Knowles showed. Lots of sim pressure, fire zone blitzes. Some odd and mugged front, outside press looks that dropped into cover 3 and cover 2 on the snap. Amare Campbell looked very fluid dropping and changing directions in coverage in the 7 on 7 period. Isaiah Campbell had some big time pass rush wins with the swim move and the rip move. Jordan Norman flashed the bull rush a ton. Joel Wyatt looked very fluid on the backend for a bigger safety. Couple of the freshmen DL popped (Carter Gooden, Jordan Carter, Kedric Golston II). Some offensive notes: The basics schematically looked pretty similar to last year. Attacked the middle of the field pretty consistently. QB play wasn’t near perfect, but thought Faizon won the day slightly. George showed his elite feel for the pocket but struggled with accuracy, especially outside the numbers, and seemed just a tick late clicking through progressions. David Sanders was his typical elite self. Starting OL left to right was David Sanders-Sham Umarov-Sam Pendleton-Jesse Perry-Oly Williams. Wendell Moe ran with the 2s which was surprising. Cole Harrison and Trent Thomas ran the 12 personnel with the 2nd offense and looked fluid in space. Thomas had some dominant blocks on split zone runs. Ian Duarte showed his athletic twitch, excited for his 2026 as a returner. Gabriel Osenda is a massive individual and moves really well. Javin Gordon sprang for a 61 yard TD which included a truck in the open field. Team speed was apparent (Derek Owings affect). Including guys like Jeremiah Telander. We just flat out looked more athletic and more stout than 2025.

So spring. A NEW season for the 2026 Tennessee Volunteers.
