The first CME that was expected to reach Earth today has yet to be detected and geomagnetic activity remains at quiet levels. The plasma cloud that left the Sun on March 16th may be running late or it could turn out to be a dud. I was initially not very impressed with the look of the CME, but perhaps we will get surprised. A further update will be provided should conditions change.

A coronal mass ejection (CME) is associated with an M2.7 solar flare early Monday around AR 4392. It is possibly Earth directed with an impact possible within 48-72 hours. A further update will be provided once SWPC release a proper forecast.

A coronal mass ejection (CME) passed Earth at UTC (Feb 4). A geomagnetic sudden impulse measuring 16 nT was detected by a magnetometer in Boulder, Colorado. So far the impact appears to be fairly mild, however active (Kp4) to minor (G1) storm conditions may be possible today.
