Chad Brown began the week with 2,995 career victories. Without running a horse, he is now at 2,996. Signal From Noise has been elevated to first after Dame Cinco was DQd for a medication violation. The race was June 21, 2024.

John Shirreffs, based in California, didn't run horses at Saratoga often. But he did train Baeza to a 3rd-place finish at the Belmont Stakes and 2nd in the Jim Dandy at the Spa last year. Shirreffs won the 2015 Curlin Stakes at Saratoga with Smart Transition.

R.I.P. John Shirreffs, trainer of 2005 @KentuckyDerby winner Giacomo. Also, saddled Hall of Fame mare Zenyatta to a second place finish in 2010 Breeders' Cup Classic and Baeza to a third place finish in last year's Derby @ChurchillDowns. A true horseman and class act. He was 80.
