Have you seen the diggers out at Springburn Academy ? Work has started on the Springburn Bench Project This will create an outdoor seating area with recycling facilities for the whole community to use, we will also have outdoor learning facilities and a sensory area.

We hope this event is beyond your wildest dreams and allows local people to get involved in #TaylorWeekend regardless of income or background. Springburn Youth Forum will also be there to speak to local young people about what matters most to them in the community.

Looking to get involved in a local Green Space in your area ? Work is well underway on the Springburn Bench Project, this Monday 8th April is our first planting event ! We are looking for volunteers to come along and help with planting hedging wimps, all equipment provided!

Absolutely delighted for @Emmaport22 and the @SpringburnYF team who have worked relentlessly for four years to see this project come to fruition. They have had to be persistent and overcome lots of obstacles - funding, site surveys, inflation. Their tenacity has been inspiring.

This area was designed by Springburn Academy Pupils with consultations carried out online and in the Springburn Community Hub for the wider community to get involved We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in making this project happen

@GLAChristina @GLAChristina can the play park consultation carried out by the youth forum with local primaries be included in this ? I’ve already sent over the results to the council however it would be great to have more involvement, we actually have another part of the consultation coming up

We are investing in play parks across Springburn/Robroyston thanks to Scottish Government funding 💷 Outdoor playing & learning is important for our children & young people 🌳

We'll be revamping our children's garden on Saturday 18th March. Come along between 11am-2pm if you fancy giving us a hand... we'll be refreshing the mud kitchen, weaving more willow around the dome and getting the area ready for lots of play over the summer. All ages welcome!
