Putting aside that Trump didn’t make this picture, it’s not even a picture of him as Jesus or God. It’s him as himself, being an instrument of God…as the person who ACTUALLY created it has indicated.

What President Trump posted was not blasphemy.
As Christians, we are commanded in Scripture to lay hands on the sick and pray for their healing (Mark 16:18). When Trump shared that image and message, he wasn’t claiming to be Jesus or putting himself in the place of God. He was simply expressing that, as a follower of Jesus Christ, he believes in the power of prayer and the authority Christians have been given to lay hands on the sick.
There’s a big difference between claiming to be Christ and claiming to follow Christ. Trump was doing the latter, openly identifying as a Christian who believes in the healing power of God.
