Over 90% of school-aged children in Arkansas attend public schools. Vouchers only help the wealthiest families subsidize the private education they already use. An astounding 95% of vouchers recipients never attended public schools. Vouchers are a $7k subsidy for the wealthy.

On my run this morning, I stopped to talk to a volunteer collecting signatures to put the LEARNS Act on the ballot. She was a long-retired teacher enduring 90° heat and humidity to help give Arkansans a say on public education. And she planned to work into the afternoon.

#SayNoToLEARNS is trending because a citizens led, nonpartisan coalition has decided that enough is enough and that public education is worth the fight. There is still time to sign.
