🚨 The S.C. House has PASSED the H.4216 income tax reform bill, which now heads to the Governor’s desk for signature. H.4216 establishes two new tax brackets (1.99% up to $30,000 and 5.21% for anything above), eliminates all standard and itemized deductions, and adds a graduated deduction of up to $30,000 for those earning under $110,000. Also conditionally lowers the top marginal tax rate until it reaches 1.99%, then lowers the total tax rate until it reaches 0%.

We really appreciate @StevenLongSC and @stephen_frank for their passionate defense of students not systems in today's budget debate! And thank you to @shannonerickson1 and @murrellsmith for your steadfast leadership on this issue! #ESTF #SchoolChoice

The "education freedom accounts are too expensive" narrative completely falls apart the moment you look at the actual numbers. EFAs: $309M -> 44,000+ students Little Rock School District: $347 million -> 19,000 students One single district spends more than the entire EFA program to serve fewer than half as many students. Education freedom accounts are providing students with needed options, and they are a value for taxpayers.

Today we announce SC Representative Steven Long as a Palmetto Revolutionary, and we thank him for agreeing to support our mission and our agenda. ( @StevenLongSC ) Steven understands that the people of South Carolina deserve a government that serves them — not special interests, not bureaucratic agencies and not the political class. He is committed to restoring power to the citizen and protecting the rights that come from God. Steven has pledged to support the Palmetto Revolution: Covenant 250 platform — reforming the JMSC, fixing Family Court, cutting regulations, shrinking the agency state, and returning money to taxpayers in a way that moves us toward zero income tax. Steven Long brings a bold, conservative voice to Columbia, and he stands ready to help make South Carolina the freest state in America. We proudly recognize Steven Long as a Palmetto Revolutionary.

A statement from Clemson University:

We join the world in shock and sadness after the murder of Charlie Kirk. The vile comments from Clemson faculty in its aftermath are unacceptable. The Board of Trustees must act to ensure the University maintains the trust and confidence of South Carolinians.

A statement from Clemson University:

Students, parents, and taxpayers deserve to know what this means.

The truck driver who made an illegal U-turn on Florida's Turnpike that led to the passing of 3 Americans, illegally entered the U.S. through the southern border in 2018. Harjinder Singh has been charged with three counts of vehicular homic*de. Singh got his Commercial Driver’s License in the state of California, according to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. “Three people lost their lives as a result of his recklessness, and countless friends and family members will experience the pain of their loss forever,” they said. The driver of the minivan was identified as a 30-year-old Florida City man. The two passengers were a 37-year-old Pompano Beach woman and a 54-year-old Miami man.
