@HitmanGFX44 ブリーダーズカップはトリプルクラウンくらい人気があるレースだと思っていました しかしトリプルクラウンはもはや街全体がお祭りのようになると聞いたことがあるので、納得はできます

@StrongzeroTrpg Sadly, I don't follow it. I don't think it gets the same amount of attention as the Triple Crown. I think that is what makes the Preakness unique...It was always a "Maryland" thing, but it draws a lot of attention throughout the country.

So I'm from the state of Maryland we have The Preakness, which is one of the Triple Crown races (along with the Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes, which is in New York). During the Preakness, everyone talks about it (and bets a lot of money!) Very fun atmosphere. Then sadly, it is over very quickly. So it is popular, but I would say the interest does not last much after Preakness/Kentucky Derby/Belmont.

@HitmanGFX44 残念ながら今はもう競馬のゲームはほとんど発売していません しかし残っているゲームにはアメリカのレースと、アメリカの名馬たちが収録されています 私はそのゲームをやっているので、アメリカ競馬の話にとても興味があります

@StrongzeroTrpg It's funny, horse-racing is a big thing here, but I'm blown away by how many videogames about horse-racing were released in Japan! I scanned through the Super Famicom library and there must be 30 or more horse-racing games released!

@StrongzeroTrpg あ、そうそう。 ほかのポストで｢夜勤の人が多い｣って言ってる人いたんですよ。アメリカ人の時間帯 ヨーロッパの会社だとこっちでも午前3時出社の人いるんですよ。日本の夜7時。終わるの早いけど ってことはやっぱ日本から見るとUS24時間営業に見えるよね

@StrongzeroTrpg Horse racing used to be a bigger deal than it is now, but we still have over 80 tracks throughout the country! It has lost popularity, because gambling is everywhere now and available through the phone. When I was a kid my grandmother used to take me to the track!

@StrongzeroTrpg Okay. It's interesting the Kentucky Derby is famous in Japan. I was watching a British quiz show, and there was a simple question about the Kentucky Derby for 1,000,000GBP. So clearly it's very obscure over there, lol. So I had no idea it was famous anywhere abroad.
