@piotr_dev_ Are you referring to a specific part of the process? Generally speaking, goals stay fairly locked. Scope will flex based on all sorts of factors. Depends what you mean by content. The key deliverables are usually the same as “scope.”

@StudioMethodAI What input is usually the least “locked” in practice — goals, scope, or the actual content/assets?

Vague creative direction is expensive. Not metaphorically — literally. When the brief doesn't lock the inputs, every revision is a budget leak. Tech design studios treat briefs as optional. The ones at 30+ people can't afford to.

Studio Method is not a course about AI tools. It is a playbook from someone who ran an actual studio with AI.

The hardest part of running a studio with an AI agent is not the AI. It is trusting the data over your gut.

I asked an AI which contractor was most likely to miss a deadline. It was right. I wish I had asked sooner.

The studios winning with AI are not the ones with the best prompts. They are the ones with the best systems around prompts.

Art direction does not slow down when you add AI. Reviews do. Fix the review system before adding more tools.

AI video generation is good enough for game cinematics now. The bottleneck is not the tool anymore. It is the brief.

Trust and visibility are not the same thing. You need both. Most studios only have one.

I stopped reviewing contractor timesheets line by line. The AI does it and surfaces anomalies every week. Better signal.

What does a good creative contractor look like? They tell you what they're stuck on before you have to ask.

When your studio ships 7 titles in a year, you can't track everything manually. You need a system that doesn't sleep. studiomethod.ai

Most AI advice for designers: "here are 5 prompts to try." None of it is about running a studio. Contractor hours. Brief systems. Milestone closes. That's where the real friction is. Built a guide for creative directors who are in the actual work. studiomethod.ai

159 hours logged. One Figma frame delivered. That's what contractor accountability looks like when nothing is being tracked. We wrote a guide about exactly this — and 6 other things an AI agent monitors when it's actually embedded inside a real studio. studiomethod.ai

AI is making design ops faster. It's also making it easier to ship the wrong thing faster. The studios winning right now aren't using AI for speed — they're using it to catch misalignment earlier. That's a different job.
