I get butterflies when I see ya when Chris brown first started collaborating with naija artistes on a regular, I won’t lie I wasn’t impressed. I was angry. I said “he would reduce his prestige because now it wouldn’t look like he’s a big deal anymore” But now I’m grateful for him, I’m grateful for his humility. I’m grateful that even though I know he wanted the numbers, deep down he has always loved us because there’s other ways he could have searched for the numbers. When you listen to his collabs with naija artistes, you would realize he wasn’t just singing but he tried to learn the lyrics and sound appropriate and please us. That matters. Maurice Brown you matter. People tróll you for trying to widen your audience beyond the geographical location you’re sure you’ve done your best in already, but I applaud your ability to not give up but instead turn it around to become an admirable part of your brand that everyone now knows you for. Everyone now knows Chris truly is a CITIZEN of the world and he’s excellent at it too 💕
