This feels like rehash of part of B&R (2011) but in a sort of parody of it. We're supposed to be pass that dialogue of Bruce calling Damian an 'arrogant entitled' [brat/boy] to hallucination Alfred especially after b&r 2023. The next page IS better but still.

Well I know what Fraction is going on here with Bruce & Damian for these preview pages for Batman #9 but it's slightly pissed me off. The next page is definitely 100 % better tho, I am trying to remain hopeful for this issue now.

I want to BLAST this all over the place cuz this the point that we needed to get to. Despite being race swapped, Damian was still stereotyped with racist Arab traits.
The race swap was just a factored excuse to practice violence on him.

it’s not just "i don’t like damian" it’s using him as a vehicle for traits that line up very comfortably with existing stereotypes about arab men

@jayson_toodd @z0mb13sup3rst4r it’s upsetting that ppl are getting hit tweets off racism & making jokes about our continuous harm and violence to us. nobody actually gives a fuck about those affected it’s all about hit tweets while those affected continue to see racism with no tw and see it normalized & spread

@jayson_toodd My issue is that they don’t even take this srsly as they should. Like at least keep posting it while actually giving a good and very useful insight or a good realization about something that’s overlooked. Instead the racism turned into a big joke that will likely happen again

know that my jason does not blink nearly enough and he's always pretty unnaturally still. his pupils don't react to light and he's got red eyeshine like a gator 🐊
this also means his eyes are incredibly light sensitive and he's very grumpy about it.

Changed my mind.This turned into a silly joke rather than actually raising awareness and dissecting the inherent racism against Arab/Chinese in this fandom.All I see about this are jokes and not a single meaningful outcome.This shit will repeat again and will be made a joke again

While I understand that blast posting a racist fic can be harmful, especially cuz I’m Arab, but I hope this horrendous of a fic about white Damian Wayne can be a good wake up call about how characters like him are subject to this shit and we aren’t overreacting about it.
