@nikkigrimes9 As an educator, I love anthologies. They make perfect mentor texts for students to anchor the class while also giving students choice on what to read next. There are also so many good authors out there, so these easily introduce new ones to them. Thank you for you work!

@Larryferlazzo Have students make timelines of their countries histories. Then add in US. Look for themes, patterns, connections.

t is sooooo difficult to teach everything that needs to be taught in a US History class 4 English Language Learners. They have little or no prior knowledge about US History & I can’t adequately cover the subject in one year. I’ve tried 4 many yrs. Any suggestions?

This quarter I'm teaching what some call in these parts the hyflex, but you might know it by another brand name. Students can attend class in person, via Zoom, or watch a recording of class. It's primarily an online class w some class time discussion & activities.
