Stokes is one of those characters, who will either receive praise from a certain section and either too much flak, but he will be a character remembered for a long long time. @Benno1uk @JezClein That's due to poor planning by ECB management that there isn't great talent in England team currently other than Root and Brook. They have ruined county cricket by making flat pitches for better strike rates.

I never warmed to Ben Stokes, always felt that he was overrated and definitely not a world class all rounder. I always felt it was all about him and he's proved that today He could have gone out quietly like Kane Williamson last week but no, he had to make it all about him again

@JezClein Yes, he is bit overrated and lucky as well. He had a fabulous 2019 but that included two lucky incidents (overthrow boundary in WC final, DRS burned by Australia when he was clearly out in Headingley test) and other great highlight was his knock in 2022 T20 Final.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi has already captured the imagination of an entire generation. With the kind of talent he has shown, he looks like one of those rare players who can become the face of Indian cricket after Virat and Rohit. At times, it genuinely feels like keeping him out is protecting the spotlight for the current players. That’s just my perception, but it’s hard not to wonder when the team is struggling and a match-winner is sitting on the bench. If he’s good enough, let him play. Indian cricket should nurture extraordinary talent, not make it wait endlessly.
