@TTWSM12 @_claypot His potential was seen in 2006, the first time Fox was #1, but it was always just potential. People thought no human would ever be able to reach that high a level of gameplay with Fox, but when Mango switched to Fox/Falco in 2011 it was shown that Fox's #1 was not just TAS

@_claypot Melee Fox was never the boogeyman of his metagame that Brawl MK and 4 Bayo were. He's essentially the most perfect fighter possible for Melee, but not untouchable, which is how the scene is able to stay so healthy. He wasn't even recognized as the best fighter until the 2010s.
