Also, with the state ALPR regulations, the city is turning off SPD's ALPR cameras because they will capture sensitive areas where that tech is now prohibited. SPD is looking for work arounds

One of the few counties that opposed Trump in 2024, & is now in ICE's 287(g) program, is Montana's Gallatin. (=Bozeman.)
I'd identified it in January as a pivotal sheriff election for that reason.
Filing deadline has passed. No one is challenging GOP Sheriff Dan Springer.

NEBRASKA. A judge ruled against Dem activist Cindy Burbank (D) - a supporter of indy candidate Dan Osborne - in her effort to get back on Dem US Sen primary ballot. With her out, pro-life pastor Bill Forbes, a supporter of US Sen Pete Ricketts (R), is unopposed for the Dem nom.

NEBRASKA. Sec of State Bob Enven (R) disqualified Cindy Burbank (D) from the US Senate primary ballot because she is openly supporting Dan Osborne (I) in the race. Burbank, backed by the Dems, is suing to be restored; says law doesn't provide for disqualification for her motives.
