RE: Kemi Adetiba auditions… why is everyone crying? There’s a striking pattern in the Kemi Adetiba auditions: many actors seem to equate 'range' with melodramatic scenes, frequently resorting to shouting or weeping. It’s a fascinating trend, especially since the true litmus test of a compelling performance is often the ability to ground everyday dialogue with believable subtlety as well as on-screen chemistry with other actors.

That morning was dark Nobody came out By evening they had paid people to come out to dance on the streets in support of Tinubu His inauguration…Nigerian masses weren’t involved 5 mins into his address…he turned the country upside down with his “subsidy is GONE” By the next morning People and stations started hoarding fuel
lobaloba.sol@evagrin_

this man won the election and the entire country felt like it had entered a period of mourning, especially on the streets of lagos. i remember it vividly.

If 16,000 kg of Gold left Nigeria to Dubai while the FG acknowledged exporting only 64kg, then how did Dubai receive more 15,900kg of Gold from Nigeria? Nigerians seem not disturbed enough about what is going on in Nigeria

My dear, we lie to ourselves A LOT in the Nigerian film industry. Let's start by asking where royalties come from and what setup in Nigeria/Nollywood enables them? We barely have terrestrial television, and streaming is a one-off payment. Where will these royalties come from?
iBK ⚡️@ibkoriginal

But if the producer is earning lifetime royalties from the film (and splitting % with other stakeholders), surely if it’s good, producer will eventually recoup ?

I don’t “do” politics. Yes, you do. “No power” is politics.
“High rent” is politics.
“Low salary” is politics. “Uber fare” is politics. “Insecurity” is politics. Politics doesn’t need your permission.
It will do you, whether you “do” it or not.

My own protest is simple: I’m not paying any damn tax. Lets be honest if ALL of us said “no”, what would they do? Nothing. But trust Nigerians to agree w you here &still go &comply quietly. Everyone’s scared of standing for something, so we keep suffering. No unity No resistance

You had 4 years to deal with insecurity in Nigeria. 4 good years. That is more than enough time to confront a crisis like this if there is real will to do it. You knew where it was happening. You knew how it started. You had the power, the intelligence, the resources. Yet nothing changed. Now elections are close and you’re coming back with the same promises again? You said you would fix power. Instead, when the system got worse, you went off-grid and fixed solar for yourself while Nigerians were left in darkness. Today, there are more campaign buses moving around the country than ambulances that many people have seen in their entire lives. And you still want another 4 years? Do you understand what a serious country can even achieve in 4 years? Even 2 years is enough for a government that actually has the will to act. Four years is more than enough to make visible, undeniable change. So the problem is not time. The problem is will. Your politics is centered around yourself, not the people. And Nigerians should not be asked to give you another chance to experiment with their lives. At this point, the only thing you should be asking for is to be relieved of your duty. We cannot keep recycling failure while lives are being lost. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Before Tinubu came to power, he promised that Nigeria was wasting too much on fuel subsidies. He said he would remove the subsidy and redirect the money to better things like infrastructure and social welfare. The federal government now saves over 10 trillion naira yearly from the removal of the subsidy. When we asked where the money was going, they said it was being used for debt servicing. Yet today, Tinubu has taken more loans than any president in Nigeria in the last 20 years. If you still tell us to relax because Tinubu is working, it shall not be well with you. Above all, love God.

I’m seeing people equate the supporting actor/actress category as “downgrading”, this is the target audience one has to create for at some point.
