No, because for a far too large number of them, this is all performative. They are all the main characters in their own little movie.
A man getting shot in the throat isn't real to them, the engagement they get from reacting to it is. It's Internet brain rot writ large.
Most of these people don't have actual political opinions in the standard sense. They can't tell you why they think what they think or believe what they believe. They can repeat things that have passed through a consensus filter among their chosen in-group. Other than that, they're empty vessels. None of this is real until they suffer consequences for it. That's why this current wave of RW doxxing is so encouraging, as it presents consequences to people who have never had them. It shows them that there are actual real-world repercussions for making a smug little video dancing over a decent man's grave.
