@TheSecularTaco @adreelux To each their own. Arc Raiders aesthetic roughly matches 90% of games that most of us have been playing since the early 2000s tho. That’s not a knock on it, it’s clearly well received. I like that Marathon’s bringing something new though… And I enjoy the gameplay far more.

I’d much rather watch arc raiders gameplay than marathon tbh. I’m truly just not a fan of the art style.

@TheSecularTaco @adreelux arc raiders aesthetic is just fine to me. it’s really nothing new or different - robot apocalypse aesthetic with rustic looking weapons has been done before. the 80s retrofuturism just does not hit at all for me. safety orange clunky shiny rounded out storm trooper vibes
