In today’s lab meeting, Soumya Moonjely (one of our postdocs) gave an update on her project “Developmental genetics of host invasion initiated by fungal spores”

“Trail was recognized by the MSA with the William H. Weston Award for Excellence in Teaching, which is awarded annually to an outstanding teacher of mycology at the undergraduate and graduate levels.”

“Trail was named a Fellow of the American Phytopathological Society (APS) based on her outstanding and innovative research in the biology of plant pathogenic fungi. Her work was vital to establishing the grain pathogen Fusarium graminearum as model fungus”
