🚨 HOUSTON AIRPORT COLLAPSES OVERNIGHT — TSA SHUT DOWN, PASSENGERS LEFT SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR UNTIL 3:30AM This is inside IAH (George Bush Intercontinental Airport) at 3–4AM. TSA wasn’t slow… it wasn’t backed up… it was shut down. • Lines stretched from the basement through the terminal • Zero movement for hours • People missing flights before security even opened • Entire sections of IAH turned into a makeshift sleeping area Look at the floor. Suitcases everywhere. People using backpacks as pillows. Dozens laid out across the terminal just waiting for TSA to come back. Hours go by… Then at 3:30AM, security finally reopens. This exchange just happened on the Senate floor. Cornyn: “I don’t understand how the SAVE Act disenfranchises voters.” Durbin: “Happy to explain. Driver’s licenses don’t qualify under the bill. 50% of Americans don’t have passports.” Cornyn: “Why not just amend it?” Durbin: “When’s the last time the Senate actually amended a bill?” Silence. The SAVE Act requires passport-level documentation to register to vote. 50% of Americans don’t have a passport. The people least likely to have passports: the elderly, the poor, rural Americans, young first-time voters. The people most likely to have passports: wealthy Americans. This is not voter protection. This is voter selection. And when a senator suggested fixing it — his own colleague couldn’t name the last time the Senate amended anything. That’s the Senate in 2026.

James Talarico ran up the score in the whitest area of Texas. Meanwhile Harris County — home to a million Black people — only produced 189,000 total Democratic primary votes. Talarico had a strategy to target white and Latino voters and the data shows that’s how he won. Black people have to realize the power we have and maximize it. People don’t want to highlight raw numbers because they cut out the emotion. They paint a clear picture of how we got here. Black communities in the Deep South aren’t being engaged at the level needed to turnout and flip states. That is the core issue with the Democratic Party. If @jamestalarico is going to be successful in the fall he’s going to need to engage Black voters in Texas with the same funding and energy he’s put into Hispanic voters. Beto lost chasing the middle while 900,000 Black voters in Texas stayed home when he ran. I don’t apologize for wanting more Black leadership in America. We elect 80-85 white people to the U.S. Senate every term. I believe if we want something different we have to do something different, we have to send a different type of leader. I’m going live to discuss this further, Black people we have the numbers to shift the landscape. We need a hyper focus on turning our people out. Doing so will increase our power, which unlocks wealth and will benefit the nation as a whole. In God we trust, everybody else bring data! Share if you care 🦾

As someone trying to follow the Texas Senate Democratic Primary from afar, the publishing of these polls that were conducted 2 weeks ago make it really hard to tell how things will play out. I’ve seen 5 m polls just today with a different candidate leading. Who should i follow?

Flags flew at half staff and honors poured in for Charlie Kirk, as the WH and GOP leaders demanded he be celebrated as a hero. No such treatment for a Civil Rights icon and one of our last bridges to King’s civil rights movement.

One more week until Black History Month comes to a close, but that is never the end of Black History. A Black person made the traffic light, your home security system, and the automatic elevator doors. Black people are here to stay and will continue to make history.
