Softball size hail smashed the back window of the rental car in Springfield, Missouri. We are trying to get a replacement for the drive back to S. Louis for our flight tomorrow. The problem is that most of the rental cars at the Budget airport location are damaged.

Your Cards of the Day: "One Card Only" Edition: Clarence "Cuddles" Marshall played 45 games with the Yankees from 1946-49 and 28 games for the Browns in 1950. His career totals were 7-7 with a 5.98 ERA. Note the pinstriped "Browns" uniform. He saw action with Seattle Rainiers.

Your Cards of the Day: Candy Jim Taylor managed several Negro League teams, including the St. Louis Stars. There is a great photo on display at the Cardinals museum.

Your Cards of the Day: From 1893 to 1920, the Cardinals called Robison Field home The last wooden park in the big leagues, it was near Sportsman's Park. In 1927, Beaumont High School was built on the site, and the building is still standing.

Your Cards of the Day: The Cardinals' Museum at Busch Stadium has Browns' artifacts as well. Here is Eddie Gaedel's jersey with number 1/8. Tigers pitcher Bob Cain and catcher Bob Swift were the battery that day. Ironically, both were Browns at some point.

You are looking live at Busch Stadium in St. Louis where the Mariners and Cardinals prepare to clash. The Mariners need to get the bats going on the banks of the Mississippi. A beautiful, 70 degree evening awaits. Go Mariners and pound the Budweiser.

Your Cards of the Day: Bill Veeck changed the Browns' logo to an elf in the early 1950s. Prior to the change, the emblem was based on the statue of Saint Louis at the art museum in Forest Park-which I visited yesterday.

Your Cards of the Day: The St.Louis Stars were a power in the Negro National League in the 1920s. They owned their own field (Stars Park) in the Mill Creek section of St. Louis. Here are three Stars' greats and the approximate location of the park now.

Your Cards of the Day: In 1946, the East St.Louis Sears issued a 72 postcard set featuring Browns and Cardinals. Of course, the most "valuable" is future Seattle Pilots' manager Joe Schultz.
