How much does God hate sin? He crushed His own Son. How much does God love you? He crushed His own Son on your behalf that you might be forgiven.

If your theological wisdom has left a wake of broken relationships, you are not truly wise (James 3: 13-18).

When we water down theology, we water down God.

If you’ve been telling your kids to “ask Jesus into their hearts,” begin immediately explaining repentance and faith to your children.

If our study of God is not producing a change in thinking, acting, and feeling, then we are not studying right.

When you fear the Lord, you will fear nothing else.

God has never done you wrong. God has never caused or permitted anything to happen in your life that wasn’t for your good and for His glory.

When you remember that nobody has ever done anything as horrific to you as you have done to Jesus, you can respond graciously to people when they sin.

“If God had a ‘refrigerator, He would have your picture on it.” Wrong. God has a picture of us, but it’s on a wanted poster. We need a savior.

Knowledge without transformation is worthless. If the word is not changing you, then you need to change the way you are consuming it.

Repentance is not about perfection; repentance is about heading in a new direction. While you will commit sins as a christian, you will not sin with joy. You happily give up your sins out of gratitude for the one who died in payment for your sins.

Forgiving someone 70 times 7 is peanuts compared to the number of sins God has forgiven me.

If you’re constantly getting into theological brouhahas, you are not a defender of the faith, you’re immature.

If you are no longer a Christian, it is because you were never a Christian in the first place.
