WSJ reported Iran's counter-proposal includes limited nuclear steps, up front.
Al Jazeera, backed up by sources inside Iran, reported the actual proposal contains ZERO upfront nuclear concessions.
What Iran says it actually wants first:
-Immediate end to the war on all fronts including Lebanon
-Full lifting of U.S. sanctions
-Release of frozen Iranian assets
-Iranian management and control of the Strait of Hormuz
Nuclear talks come only after every single one of those conditions is met.
New reports now come in speaking of demands for reparations, too...
The most likely explanation: U.S. negotiators heard flexibility that Iranian negotiators never actually offered…
Or different factions in Tehran are sending different signals through different channels simultaneously…
Which tracks with everything we know about how fractured Iranian decision-making currently is.
