March 18 — Overnight and into this morning the situation in the Middle East remained tense. Investors tried to digest the inflationary impact of higher oil prices while turning their attention to the upcoming Federal Reserve interest rate decision. U.S. stocks, gold, and oil traded in narrow ranges, while Treasury yields and the dollar both moved lower. Bitcoin failed to extend the strong momentum seen since Monday, trading sideways around $74,000. According to Bitget market data, the three major U.S. stock indices closed slightly higher: the S&P rose 0.25%, the Nasdaq gained 0.47%, and the Dow was nearly flat. Energy stocks were broadly higher, with ExxonMobil up 1%. Most crypto-related stocks also rose; MSTR climbed 1.87%, BMNR fell 0.68%, and CRCL rallied another 5.15%, breaking above the $130 mark. According to HTX quotes, Bitcoin again failed to break $75,000 and has pulled back below $74,000, trading at $73,980.53. #BTC #ETH
