Today at ELTE: seminar by Prarena Jamwal, a new member of the local #TRILMAX community and postdoc at BME. Her talk, “Tunable Superconductivity in Two-Dimensional Materials: Insights from First-Principles Calculations,”explored superconductivity in 2D materials.

Great discussion at today’s #TRILMAX consortium meeting on data management—aligning on practical steps to improve documentation, secure sharing, and FAIR data across partners. Thanks all for the constructive input. Looking forward to putting these plans into action!

The winter school was a perfect opportunity for the #TRILMAX executive members to come together and discuss scientific progress and future plans.

The last lecture of the #TRILMAX Winter School was given by Samuel Jarvis, who explained XPS. It was a great week to learn about experimental techniques and to meet coworkers from all around Europe.

After the coffee break, Manuela Garnica explained how STM works and highlighted its many applications beyond simply imaging surfaces. #TRILMAX

The final day of the #TRILMAX Winter School began with a presentation by Cecilia Mattevi, who introduced the techniques and methods used to grow 2D crystals and engineer advanced structures.

The last talk of the day was given by Andrés Cantarero, who presented the Raman spectroscopy method. #TRILMAX

After the coffee break, Pierre Seneor gave a fascinating talk about the history and current state of spintronics. #TRILMAX

The third presentation of the day was given by Reyes Calvo and focused on optoelectronics. #TRILMAX

The third day of the school started with Sonia Conesa, who gave a brief introduction to TEM and then led a hands-on session, allowing everyone to gain first-hand experience with each of the methods presented during the conference. #TRILMAX
