He is technically correct in that there's no mention in the Constitution of God. Our motto is "In God We Trust" and our Pledge of Allegiance says "under God." We allow people to choose the God they worship. What's disturbing with Talarico's statement isn't whether it's correct, it's the obvious pandering he does to gain votes from the growing Muslim/Islam population in Texas. We pray to our God that Texas does not go the way of Minnesota where politicians pray to Somalians to get election funding. That didn't go well for the State or for our Country. Talarico's the worst kind of politician: a Chameleon, who is anything you want him to be so long as you pay him or give him your vote. After election he'll reveal his true self. Best example today: Mamdani.
