Harry G. Frankfurt dies at 94. You can read his best selling book 'On Bullshit' in 30 minutes and spend the rest of your life trying to understand its importance to society. nytimes.com/2023/07/17/boo… Much respect. RIP.

BS=9. We have seen a lot of bullshit, but nothing comes close to this. Your ignorance of soil science is surpassed only by your willingness to deceive. @FoliarPak @George_C_Murray

BS=6. Section 11.2.2.1 of BMPs for Saline and Sodic Turfgrass Soils: "Soil amendments to compensate for excessive Na (gypsum) or irrigation water treatment (acidification) are not required when managing total soluble salts."

BS=6. No, just no. Do not use use acidifying agents (AGs) to 'help flush salts'. @USGAGrnSection and @1Rowland1, much of your info on AGs is accurate but AGs will not 'help flush salts' unless the soil is also sodic. Please stop conflating salinity with Na and bicarbonates.
USGA Green Section@USGAGrnSection

Most of Florida has been very dry this winter, so managing salts and bicarbonates in the soil has been challenging. Here are a few strategies that can help until summer rains return 👉bit.ly/410KcQy

These cannot be simultaneously true. gcmonline.com/course/turf/ne… "Sorochan noted that zoysiagrass also can be planted to the edge of the green and will not encroach into neighboring areas, such as bunkers or fairways..." @Sorochan, did you say that? If so, will you elaborate?
Kyle Callahan@callahan_kyle

Redefining our edges with @ThornbladeAG team on bunkers. Less than 4 years and the Zoysia has grown in a solid 6” is areas. Doesn’t matter what liner you use, protecting the asset is the key.

@MtnT1Bent @earthworksturf By ‘trial’, did you applied something and observed it? Or, did you conduct an experiment comparing products and measured the variables that we mentioned in our original tweet? If the former, this is your fourth fallacy in two replies, post hoc ergo propter hoc. Try again? 😉

BS=7. Without committing a fallacy, please show us any evidence that those specific products result in: the most efficient & economical system of macros and micros sending roots deep protecting the leaf from disease. Indoctrination is powerful. Proverbs 22:6.

Shipment from @FSCTurftalk w/ the @earthworksturf fertilizers. Most efficient & economical system for hitting all your macro & micro nutrient inputs sending roots deep & protecting the leaf from disease pressure. IYKYK. #turflife @FertNdirtJack @bpturfgrass @GCSAA @PAGCS1925

@ravennasuper @UDTurfguy @MtnT1Bent You won’t hear any criticism from us. Keep it up! 👏👏 Don’t feed the soil. Feed the plant. This has been well documented to be the most efficient nutrient application strategy, currently. 🥰

@UDTurfguy @MtnT1Bent @TurfTruth And I’m sure I would be criticized for not “feeding the soil” but that approach seems senseless considering we are not judged on our soil. Our greens have a great root system so I’m sure the soil is “healthy” it also smells good without the organic inputs.

@SeeGrowS1 We would happily review your results. Please send us a link to a study conducted on turfgrass under field conditions that was then published in an reputable, impact-factor journal refereed by turfgrass specialists.

BS=8. By request. Claims made without evidence can be dismissed without evidence. But in this case, we have refuting evidence. journals.ashs.org/horttech/view/… 'It also appears that the effects of ozonated water may become negligible after continuous application...' 🔥💵🔥

BS=6. No they are not ample. No one is refuting that evidence exists confirming #MLSN results in sufficient nutrients under the conditions of those studies. But, none of those studies provide a scintilla of evidence that #MLSN works on ALL turfgrasses on ALL soils.
Micah Woods@asianturfgrass

11/ That recommendations made according to the #MLSN method "work" in being suffiencient to prevent nutrient deficiencies is well-documented. If anything, they are more than ample. doi.org/10.1007/s11104… doi.org/10.1002/its2.1… doi.org/10.1002/agj2.2… search.proquest.com/openview/722c0…

BS=1. So are we! But let's not forget that BCSR was refuted decades ago. It only remains in our industry as a result of delusion and/or indoctrination.
Steve Datwyler@ravennasuper

@TurfTruth MLSN works and is likely the best option for turfgrass managers. It's amazing that BCSR was published and adopted for 90+ years, only to find it was the wrong tool for our industry. I'm glad it was challenged by PACE and ATC who developed a better method.
