Cage Conversations Holding the finish Keeping direction is very important but moving slow to force direction and holding the finish is just going to lead to slow draggy swings. One of my favorite drills to work on having different plans at the plate, posture & tight turns with space. CLOSED ANGLE - hunt middle-in and do damage to the pullside. This also helps hitters who dive or spin. OPEN ANGLED - hunt middle-away and send it back through the machine.
