The #CovidVaccine autumn booster programme is off to a ‘flying start’ with 2.1 million doses delivered since this phase began. Currently people aged 65+ are among those getting a booster plus a flu vaccine to combat the effects of a potential ‘twindemic’ of Covid-19 and flu.

Next week text messages, emails and letters will be sent to encourage families to book their child’s MMR vaccine. Parents and carers of children aged from 1 to 6 who have not yet had their vaccine will be contacted. Two doses offer protection against measles, mumps and rubella.
