This is significant. Turkey and Iran have had a complicated relationship for decades but when a regional neighbor is being bombed, solidarity kicks in. Turkey is a NATO member showing support for a country being attacked by a NATO ally. That tension says everything about how fractured alliances are becoming in this conflict. Erdogan is walking a very thin line right now between his Western commitments and regional solidarity.

@Upplyser @MaxNordau My brother also spent 10 years in Paris and graduated from Sorbonne University. We are very fond of the French. Personally, I am a great admirer of Baudelaire and Marcel Proust. I know and appreciate many more, but those two are my absolute favorites.

@UmutBehram @MaxNordau I will not ignore it, I will say Türkiye, but I find it overly sensitive to react on this, I can’t understand why it’s an issue at all, it is a childish reaktion. By the way, I only have good memories of Türkiye, I’ve traveled there a lot and I met my French wife there.
